Web Design Specialist

Visca Consulting wishes to expand its core design team with a new web design specialist in response to increased client base and work load. The ideal candidate has an extensive background in web design including HTML page creation; all aspects of web based graphics; familiarity with search engine optimization fundamentals; well versed in cascading style sheets (CSS); exposure to active server pages (ASP) and JavaScript languages. We are looking for designers with flair, originality, their own unique sense of style and insight into effective site development and design for a wide variety of subject matter.

The candidate must be able to produce web sites with vibrant, clean, premium quality layouts and designs. Must have an acute attention to detail, be incredibly resourceful, demonstrate a high level of reliability, be able to learn and execute newly taught skills and methods quickly. Be capable of producing complete end-to-end web site projects with minimal input and limited turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• Rapid design, development and deployment of web sites, including page creation, layout, graphics, content creation, search engine optimization, quality assurance testing and server deployment.

Requirements

In addition to the standard requirements set forth in our Visca Consulting careers page, this position requires:

• Must have extensive online portfolio of prior work demonstrating expert level design and layout skills.
• Expert knowledge of web production tools such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage, and Corel Photo-Paint or Adobe PhotoShop.
• Ability to cope with potentially high pressure environments and project timeframes, with continually evolving and changing client requirements.
• Able to manage time effectively, and meet possibly demanding project timelines.
• Has adequate hardware, software and connectivity to work remotely from home.
• Have flexible hours of availability and willingness to work extended hours if needed.
• Strong and limitless level of creativity for original design ideas, layouts and site design styles.
• Must be highly functional in Microsoft Windows based workstation and server environments.
